I believe its time has come. The characters in the Sex and the City sequel have been dumbed down to its new audience and no longer relate to the fans of the series. I’m extremely happy to have the series live on via my DVD collection but I believe the one movie was enough.
I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have received from this blog and I am still a huge fan of the cast and the series. I have had a fun time running the blog and keeping you all updated with excitement but I now feel differently about the films and feel its time has passed.
As Sarah Jessica Parker once said about the series: Never be the last guest to leave a party…
So with that said, thank you Cosmo Guy readers for visiting for the last four years, it was fun while it lasted.
Ahead of Tuesday’s premiere, the women met Japanese fans at a Q&A session on Monday. Cattrall said: ‘I think one of the things that always surprises us, no matter where we go… is that we translate so well.’ Davis showed off her language skills as she said ‘arigato’ (thank you very much) because she believed Japanese women were more tolerant of her character’s conservative views.
SEX IN JAPAN!
It was more Sex in another City last night as the sequel’s leading ladies headed to Japan for the third and final premiere. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon put on another turn on the red carpet in designer couture as they attended the champagne screening in Tokyo. As with the previous two premieres in New York and London, Parker wore the most show-stopping dress out of the four stars as she arrived in a stunning floral multi-tiered Vivienne Westwood creation.
THE LADIES ARRIVE IN LONDON
AFP: Actress Sarah Jessica Parker and her fellow stars from “Sex and the City 2” braved bad press reviews to step out Thursday for the movie’s British premiere. Parker, who reprises her role as New York columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the sequel, walked down the red carpet in London’s Leicester Square in a dress by late fashion designer Alexander McQueen. She was joined by Kim Cattrall, who plays publicist Samantha Jones, Cynthia Jones, who portrays Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis, whose character is Charlotte York Goldenblatt. Australian pop star Kylie Minogue was among other stars attending the premiere.

A FAN IN THE CITY
Hey Cosmo Guy!
When I woke up this morning and went to my favorite tea spot to get some work done, I didn’t think I’de be at the SATC 2 premiere later on, let alone meet SJP and take a picture with her at the after party. I called up my friend Christy and told her to get ready because we’re going to the premiere at Radio City and we WILL get in! We went into a ticket line, met one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met in the entertainment industry and he told us to wait to the side for a few minutes—10 minutes later we had 2 tickets to the premiere and we were sitting 3rd row center! We had no idea we’d be able to go to the after party at Lincoln Center but we thought we’d give it a try. As soon as we got there, SJP arrived and started taking pictures with fans and signing autographs. I must have ran around the Lincoln Center following her as she made her way through fans behind the barricades. I found a group of women and I told them we should all yell her name and she’ll come to us—sure enough she heard us as was walking towards us but her security kept telling her to go inside—THEN, she made eye contact with me as I yelled her name and waved my phone asking her for “just one picture!” She literally walked right over to me, put her arm around my waist and said “OK, ready?!”—I took the pic, and as you can see I was zoomed in too close! (I’m the guy on the left (her right)—I can’t complain though—I went to the premiere and met/took a half picture with her! BEST NIGHT EVER!
Thanks Cosmo Guy! xxxo!

SEX AND THE CITY 2 PRESS JUNKET
Check out these great soundbites from the Sex and the City 2 press junket that went on a couple weeks ago. I was unfortunately unable to attend this year due to the fact that I’m living in Sydney now but I hope I’m still keeping you close with these great little treats! Enjoy!
BAIT AND SWITCH
MTV.com:There have been many memorable weddings on “Sex and the City.” Who could forget when Charlotte married Trey? Or, for that matter, when Charlotte married Harry? And, there was that lovely little ceremony when Steve finally got Miranda to tie the knot. Then, of course, fans nearly died of happiness when Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw finally walked down the aisle in the first “Sex and the City” movie. So when fans saw paparazzi photos of Samantha (Kim Cattrall) in a wedding dress, they thought she was the latest “Sex and the City” girl to put a ring on it. Turns out, they got duped. “That was a completely conscious bait-and-switch,” “Sex and the City 2” director Michael Patrick King told MTV News. He said it was Cattrall’s devious mind that came up with the idea. “[She] came to me and said, ‘I want to come to the set someday in a wedding gown and make everybody think Samantha’s getting married,’ ” he recalled. “And I put it in my head [like], ‘That’s a funny idea.’ Forty-five minutes later, I turned around; she was crossing the street in a wedding gown. I thought, ‘Oh, today?’ ” Cattrall wasn’t able to pull it off all on her own; she got some help from the show’s iconic stylist. “Patricia Field got a gown that fit her within 40 minutes, and she had a veil on and she’s running across the street,” he said. “And what I loved about it was every blog that I saw was like, ‘This looks like a bad idea for a movie.’ And I was like, ‘It is!’ “
FIRST PHOTOS FROM SEX AND THE CITY 2 PREMIERE
